We directly employ our highly skilled workforce and retain a balance of shuttering carpenters, steelfixers and concrete finishers. The majority of our operatives have been with us for over ten years.
The sites are run by our highly experienced trades foremen, who in turn are proactively overseen on a daily basis by our contracts manager or the MD.
By employing the best, in addition to constant close monitoring and checking of our work, we consistently produce work to the highest standard, in a timely and efficient manner. This policy eradicates substandard and defective workmanship and allows us to provide service excellence.
Martch and Rowden invest heavily in training for both management and operatives. All employees are CSCS accredited in their own disciplines and through the use of external training companies and courses, we ensure the business is fully compliant with Health and Safety legislation.
We employ an external consultancy “Mentor” (part of the RBS group), to monitor our Health and Safety systems and to provide expert advice and support on all related matters when required.
We have achieved “Investors In People” recognition and accordingly use best practice to improve business performance through our systems and our people. We recognise the fact that our staff and operatives are the key to our success and that they are our strength and biggest asset.
Linked to our IIP status is the support of “Mentor” as our retained Employment Law & HR advisers. We are now able to provide professional counsel to all employees to ensure that their wellbeing and contentment is monitored and managed.
